Project Spotlight: SkLO The Madrona

Within the hotel's guestrooms, SkLO Twin 1.0 Sconces were chosen to reflect the welcoming atmosphere, flanking fireplaces and composing spaces between windows and trim. Though modern and pared-down in shape, the sconces are successful within the rich historicism of the design, casting an inviting glow that accentuates schemes for the interiors.

SkLO Twin 1.0 Sconces

The Twin 1.0 Sconce features a two-tone diffuser of handblown Czech glass made up of two flattened spherical shapes in two colors which are melded together while hot on the glass blowing pipe. The glass is held to a solid brass plate canopy by a brass band that sits between the two spheres. Each sphere is lit from within by its bulb, one in each sphere.
